Panathenaic stadium




 The Stadium

 The stadium was built a very long time ago which was about 2,581 years ago.
It was held in Athens, Greece and the stadium was well known for athletes running. In the 4th century the stadium was abandoned it had 50,000 seats and It was excavated in 1869.

    Hi Faye,

    I really enjoyed reading your post about the Panathenaic stadium. It looks pretty spectacular. I don't think that I have ever seen a stadium that was built thousands of years ago. Have you?

    I hope that you will continue to blog with us this holiday and complete some of the activities included in the Winter Learning Journey. They're pretty fun and they will, hopefully, help you learn some other interesting facts about the Olympics both ancient and modern!
